In 1984 there was a need in the Louisville Metropolitan area for a custom cabinet business. I started Cabinets by Rick in New Albany in a 640 square foot garage and quickly moved to an old foundry on Division Street. After my marriage in 1991 my wife and I built a new 10,000 square foot shop in Jeffersonville.
In 1996, we welcomed a son to our family, and three years later we built a larger shop in Sellersburg. In 2005, we moved to a more spacious location (our current location) at 1630 Grant Line road in New Albany. I have used my signature color, a vibrant purple, on the awnings of my building and on my company trucks and vans (As well as this web site!)
